Ukino Matcha came to Siena Zadro with the brief of creating a sister brand to their T totaler, a brand that would truly embrace Matcha as a product and market seperate from the Sydney cafe culture. Amber (Owner and Founder of Ukino Matcha), wanted to specialise deeply in the product, having defined tea making culture in Australia for ten years through her brand T Totaler. She wanted to show people the process and labour in producing high quality matcha, whilst also making it accessible to the public, prompting a the creation of a brand that was stripped back, yet playful, bringing the traditions of matcha to a modern, Australian audience.
